As always thank you for visiting my shop. I'm excited to meet and work with you. My name is Evelon, pronounced Ev-a-lon. All short vowels. It has been a pretty manageable month. Going on month 2 since I've gone in my own direction with my business. Just for background sake, I was formerly using Etsy, as my seller's platform. I was a seller on Etsy for about 3 years. The first year I was just listing small items as I created them, such as vinyl shirts, rhinestone cups, etc, which was producing maybe 4 sales/yr. That was prior to me embroidering. Once I started going into the direction of embroidery, which I love the most, I started to pick up just a little more. Maybe 50 sales/yr. As I continued hobbying, business picked up pretty good, about a sale/day. I was happy with that, considering I work a full-time job and I'm a full-time mother of 2.
Fast forward, I was banned from Etsy. I was really upset because Etsy did drive a lot of sales. However, it forced me to go in to my own direction. I ran to Shopify, as a website builder. I created my website and at this point, I am researching and trying out different things to drive sales. At this point, I am trying to use SEO and keywords, so that when consumers search, on Google, I at least show up on page 1. Thats my goal. I just want to be an option at this point. Starting over has been crazy, but like I said being a mom of 2, working and trying to hustle, if there are any mothers reading this, you know or understand that something will be neglected. In my case, it was my house. This break has given me the freedom to get my house back together and my workspace cleaned up.
I'm a really optimistic person, so I believe that everything happens with reason. At first, I was like, OMG! My business is over, but with manifestation, good energy and vibration, my attitude is :THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Update on Shopify: I have not gotten any sales from Google or anyone outside as of yet. Will keep you posted!
